Dynamic Analysis

Elgenio provides dynamic analysis for offshore installation, recovery and in-place operations using OrcaFlex, the industry-standard software for modelling the dynamic behaviour of offshore systems.

We use numerical analysis to assess how structures, pipelines, risers, umbilicals, cables and installation equipment respond to vessel motions, waves, current and operational loading. The results are used to support equipment design, installation planning, operability assessment and offshore decision making.

Our approach is focussed on producing analysis that is useful to the wider project. Rather than treating the model as an isolated calculation, we consider how the results affect rigging, temporary works, vessel requirements, equipment specification, installation sequence and offshore execution.
